What do we offer?


We offer a platform for customers to discover barbershops in their area, the shop's location, opening times and customer reviews. Barbershops can also add additional information and photos to their page, including links to their social media pages. Customers are able to view the length of each barber’s queue on the app and barbers can send customers in their queue notifications updating them on the queue time. Each shop’s page shows which barbers are online and allows customers to choose whose queue they would like to join. The barber’s profile shows their reviews and ratings, photo gallery and current queue length. After their hair cut, customers are required to rate their cut and the barber. In this way, barbershops and their barbers can ensure that they remain busy throughout the day, as potential customers sitting at home can see that there is a short queue or that the queue is moving quickly. Further, barbershops and barbers can increase their customer base by receiving excellent customer reviews.

How can the app help my shop?

Having new technology may seem a bit unnecessary for a barbershop but we’re here to tell you that that’s not the case. Making the customer happy can mean a lot more than just the cut. By making the service as streamlined and as pleasant as possible, customers are encouraged to come back for their next cut. By enabling customers to join your queue whilst at the office or at home, the customer wastes less time waiting in the shop when they could be getting on with their day. Customers are much more likely to queue on the app and use your shop than spend up to an hour in a walk in queue. Further, as the app is free at the point of delivery, you can ensure you have happy customers at no cost to your barbers or the shop.

What can Qwork do for you?

Qwork enables you to reach a wider customer base. This is due to the Qwork map, the ability to advertise on the app and your customer reviews. This is a surefire way to gain more customers than having to rely on walk ins and word of mouth. Qwork gives you the opportunity to advertise and promote your barbershop and barbers to potential new customers in your area through the Qwork map and by maintaining your profile and shop description. Further, you can build your shop’s reputation through customer reviews which will demonstrate the quality of your service.

How do I sign up?

If you are using Facebook or Gmail, once you have logged into your account, you will be prompted to choose a user type. Please select the barbershop option. You will then be able to edit the shop’s profile, opening times, location and add any links to your social media pages. If signing up using your email address, you will be prompted to input, your email address, password and phone number. To input your phone number, please use the country code followed by the rest of your phone number as normal (447...). You will then need a text verification code to complete the sign up process. To do this, just press the send button next to the phone number. Type in the verification code, choose barbershop as your user option and click the sign up button. You will then be able to edit the shop’s profile, opening times, location and add any links to your social media pages.

Can I verify or remove barbers from my shop?

If, on signing up, a barber chooses to join your shop, you will receive a notification. To verify a barber, please go to “Request List” in the main menu. From there, you can add or remove barbers from your shop.

How do I upload photos to the shop’s profile?

To do this, just go to the shop’s profile and click on your profile picture. From there you can add or remove photos from your profile.

How do I know my shop’s weekly statistics?

Every Sunday, we will send you an email containing the shop’s statistics for that week and each barber’s statistics. Through this, you can maintain an accurate record of how many cuts per week the shop and each of your barbers are doing, the average time per cut as well as the number of customers who still don’t have the app and the number of no shows.

How can I manage my shop using the app?

You can add or remove barbers from your shop as well as add or remove customers to each barber’s queue. This gives you full control over the number of cuts your shop and each barber is doing. You can also update the shop’s profile so you can actively advertise your services to potential customers in your area.

What can Qwork do for you?

Qwork gives you the freedom to control your own queue. You can open and close it as and when you wish, manually add breaks and send notifications to customers. You can also attract new customers in your area as you can build your reputation through excellent customer reviews and the photos on your profile. Qwork gives you the opportunity to advertise your services to a much wider customer base and grow your reputation as a barber in your area.

How do I sign up?

Once the barbershop has verified that you are one of their barbers, you can open your queue and begin cutting.

Can I send messages to customers?

Yes, you can send a message to a single customer, a group of customers or the entire queue. To do this, just go to the “Notifications” tab on the main menu in the left hand corner. You can use this to update customers on the queue, find out if they’re on their way or to send them any other information about their cut or the queue. Customers are able to reply to your messages so you can communicate effectively with your queue.

How does the app register when a cut starts and finishes?

In order for the queue to work properly, you need to ensure you record when a cut has started and finished. Every time you start a cut, press and hold that customer’s icon in your queue and select “Cut Start”. Once you have finished cutting, press and hold that customer’s icon again and select “Cut End”. This ensures that customers are notified as it gets closer to their turn and ensures that all of your cuts are recorded and your queue time updated properly. Please make sure you follow this process for every customer for the queue to work as it should. If a customer hasn’t turned up, you can also remove that customer from the queue by pressing and holding that customer’s icon, and selecting “Remove”. To remove a customer you need to give a reason so our records are up to date and so we can monitor customer behaviour to ensure they do not regularly miss cuts.

How do I upload photos to my profile?

Just click on “Upload Image” from the main menu and take a photo or select the images from your phone photo gallery to upload. If you would like to delete any photos, just go to “Home” on the main menu, click on your profile picture and select the photos you want to delete.

What procedures are in place to ensure the customer turns up?

If a customer doesn’t turn up for their cut, their account will be frozen for 24 hours. If they do this [ ] times, their account will be frozen indefinitely. Customers therefore have an incentive to only join a queue when they are certain they will be able to turn up. This provides certainty to you and also ensures that your queue is consistently busy without any unwanted breaks.

What can I do if a customer doesn’t have the app?

You can manually add customers who don’t have the app to your queue by going to “Home” on the main menu and selecting “Add” in the grey bar just above the queue. Just make sure you tell them to download the app for next time!

What can Qwork do for you?

Here at Qwork, we understand that your time is precious so we aim to make your life easier. Rather than having to queue in the barbershop for a hair cut, you can view your favourite barbers’ queue and join from anywhere. You can also search for barbershops in your area and view barbers’ customer reviews. You will be able to see the queue time for each barber online at any barbershop so you can estimate how long it will take for you to reach the front. You can then carry on with your day until it is time for your cut. We will send you helpful notifications telling you when your position in the queue changes and when you should start making your way to the shop. By using Qwork, you can take the time and hassle out of going to the barbers and focus on what’s important to you.

So, how do I sign up?

To do this, just press “Send” next to the phone number. Then, just type in the verification code, choose customer as your user option and click the sign up button. To complete your user profile, you will have to choose a username, provide your phone number, birthday and sex and whether you would like your profile to be anonymous to other Qwork users. And that’s it, you’ll have successfully signed up and can start queueing.

How can I search for barbers in my area?

After opening the app, you will see a map with your current location as a red point. At the top of this page, you can search for barbers or barbershops in the area by using the search bar. Any barbershops using the app will also show up as green points on the map. You can then view their profile and queues.

What if I have a favourite barber? Do I always have to search for them?

No! If you want to make sure you can always find your favourite barber, just go their profile and click on the star in the right hand corner. Now, every time you’re on the app, their profile will show up as a bar at the bottom so you can automatically see their queue and join it without the hassle of having to search for them.

What notifications will I receive?

Once you join a queue, you will receive notifications telling you your position in the queue. When you are next in line, you will receive a notification telling you to make your way to the shop so you don’t miss your cut. If your barber has important information to share with you, you will get a notification of their message and can reply.

What happens if I’m running late, can I send a message to my barber?

You will be able to find the shop’s phone number on their profile and give them a ring. If the barber is running late, they will be able to message you to keep you updated.

What if I want to leave a queue?

We understand that plans change and sometimes things don’t work out as planned so we give you a 2 minute window after joining a queue to leave it. If you leave after 2 minutes, your account will be blocked for 24 hours. If you think your account has been blocked in error or you have a valid reason for leaving, please email support@qworkadmin.com for assistance.

How do I leave a review?

Once your barber has finished your cut, you will receive a pop up message requiring you to rate and comment on your hair cut. You will be unable to click off this pop up as it is important for barbers to maintain accurate ratings so other customers can choose the best barber for them. So, we’d appreciate if you were as honest as possible when leaving a review.
